Saving Money on Postage and Mail Processing

At Prime Advantage we want to make sure you understand all the ways you can save money. With postage rates always on the rise here are several ways that you can accomplish that:

Remove Any Duplicates from Your Mailing List

We have sophisticated programs that can pull out duplicates, by exact, near, or even by using a match code. This will save you postage and printing costs.

Make Your Lists and Mail Pieces Automation Compatible

We have certified USPS software that adds zip+4 to your addresses saving you money on each piece, by adding a barcode on your label. Make sure your piece meets postal requirements for automation compatible pieces.

Mail Letter Size Pieces

Make sure your direct mail pieces are at or under the maximum size for letter rate, which is 6-1/8" x 11-1/2". Consider the weight of papers when having pieces printed. By keeping first class pieces under 1 ounce, and bulk mail pieces under 3.3 ounces, you can minimize postage costs.

Self Mailer

Self mailers are great and can save money and time when processing, through eliminating cost of envelopes and cost of inserting.

Window Envelopes (when you have a personalized laser letter)

Window envelopes are great when you know your going to have a personalized letter inside. This eliminates the cost of matching the letter to the outside envelope which results in money and time saved.

Add a Permit to Your Piece

Adding a permit cuts your cost down and saves you time from having to meter your job. That way your job is processed in a timely manner.
